Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is representing a leading provider of integrated one-stop logistics and transportation solutions. Our respected client is looking for a Managing Director who will direct regional business and manage all P&L and business management in Indonesia.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop the new market in logistics and shipping
- Provide leadership to the commercial and business development team through addressing the commercial, technical and operational aspects of finding potential customers
- Regularly monitor operational cost and work on budgeting control
- Examine the day-to-day business process and collaborate with the operation team to identify potential clients and provide recommendations for improvements
- Assess asset performance and determine risk, working to mitigate and implement solutions to achieve the company’s objectives
- Lead by managing a cross-functional team to meet business objectives
- Assess current industry impact and develop solutions and strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and business continuity, in line with the company’s strategy
- Manage pricing cost of service and customer requirement
- Direct ownership of the P&L including commercial, customer and operational activities, working closely with the regional team to ensure all targets, KPIs and budgets are met
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, or another commercial discipline, from a reputable university
- Minimum 20 years’ experience in Supply & Logistics
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining external relationships at senior levels
- Knowledge of logistics and shipping
- Fluency in English with Asian is an advantage
- Analytical skills and sound financial understanding of the supply chain
- Commercial and financial acumen
- Knowledge of current market trends and the marine logistics suppliers that operate in the market
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with teams and networks and influence outcomes at many levels in an organization
- Excellent project management skills – with ability to identify critical path issues and develop solutions to keep a program on track
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Clear understanding of ethics and compliance issues
- Medium to high level computer skills, involving spreadsheets and databases
- Influence and networking skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and effective employee management experience
- Good Financial literacy
- Deep technical and maintenance knowledge on shipping and logistics
